Our commitment

The My Life My Voice Charitable Trust Accessibility Charter outlines our commitment to working progressively over the next five years towards ensuring that all information intended for the public is accessible to everyone and that everyone can interact with our services in a way that meets their individual needs and promotes their independence and dignity.

What we are doing?

This page was created to collect usability and accessibility information about the My Life My Voice website in one place and provide communication channels for people to get help with using our website.

While we strive to make our website as accessible as possible. Our goal is to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA, with which we are partially compliant. We’ll be the first to admit our website is a work in progress, and we are open to all feedback to make things better.

We are implementing the WAI-ARIA Authoring Practices 1.1, including the WAI-ARIA roles, states, and properties. The WAI-ARIA Design Patterns for assistive technologies, keyboard support, compliant colour contrast and landmarks. The website can be zoomed in using keyboard commands.

Browser support

The My Life My Voice website has been cross-platform and cross-browser tested. It is optimised for modern browsers including Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, Google Chrome. Older browsers may offer limited functionality.

The My Life My Voice website is responsive, it re-organises itself depending on the screen size and orientation of the device being used to view it. We test the experience on various devices including the most popular iOS, Android and MS Windows phones and tablets.
